The early rain kindly stopped as Carmel and I were due to unload to set up our stall for the 2016 Hunters Hill Food & Wine Festival. There was easy access for unloading and packing up for stall holder vehicles and a handy parking area.
With everything in place and the skies still overcast it was off to a slow start gradually picking up around lunchtime and then getting busy in the afternoon when the sun emerged to really contribute to a terrific day.
It was a great set up on the oval with an inner and outer circle of stalls with lots of space for people to walk around between the two. Lots of interesting food stalls but unfortunately too busy to investigate properly.
All in all a great day with helpful organisers and we got to meet Branka after many emails and some phone calls. The fact that it is a community run event makes it all the more enjoyable.
Boree Lane Wines wine selection was very well received especially the Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonnay, Shiraz, ’08 Cabernet Sauvignon and the ’09 Cabernet Franc.
It was a 9 hour stint from start to pack up but well worth it.
