Orange is known for its Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. Our fine examples are now joined by some other very interesting varieties such as Arneis, Gewurztraminer, and the Trifecta.

2018 ‘Con Amore’ Arneis 750ml

The Arneis grape is native to Piemonte in north western Italy where it grows in clayey to sandy soils.as a distinctive white wine of growing popularity.

The Boree Lane Arneis exhibits  a lovely floral nose of pear and white peach and a crisp, creamy almond palate.

This medium bodied wine is a great accompaniment for white meat dishes, creamy pastas and of course Piedmontese dishes such as vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce).

2017 The Trifecta 750ml

The combination of late harvesting and three aromatic grapes, Gewurztraminer, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, has produced a wine with a nose and mouth filling burst of floral, citrus, grapefruit and rose petal aromas and tastes. A real fruit salad of flavours!

Its sweeter style makes it a great companion for spicy Asian food, such as Thai and Indian, strong cheeses and fruity desserts.

This is a full bodied aromatic Gewurztraminer with a nose of pears, rosewater and lime. The slightly creamy palate is enriched by a lively acidity which provides structure whilst combining well with a grainy and textured mid palate. This drier style of Gewurztraminer will go well with more lightly spiced Asian foods such as Vietnamese.

White peach, grapefruit and citrus flavours combine with a rich creamy palate derived from extended lees contact which is enhanced by well integrated French oak. Food: This is a versatile wine that will complement a range of dishes including seafood, pasta and white meat dishes.

It still retains a green tinge and displays a softer gooseberry nose. The mouth feel has softened with bottle age making for a less acidic, gentler wine. It is more approachable for enjoyable afternoon / pre-dinner drinking and then as an excellent companion to seafood and lighter Asian foods.

2010 Sauvignon Blanc Dessert Wine 375ml

Concentrated by the “Noble Rot”, this wine displays a nose of dried apricots followed by a rich palate of crystallised fruits. It is dense and sweet but finishes with a touch of acidity. "This" is a serious ‘sticky’ to be savoured with more substantial desserts such as dark chocolate tart and plum pudding as well as fruit cake and blue cheese.

Intense honey and dried tropical fruit aromas are lifted by the deliciously sweet fruit palate. This wine is rich without being overpowering, rather like a white port.

Enjoy as an aperitif chilled, on the rocks or with a good cloth matured cheddar or creamy blue cheese or lemon tart.

2021 "Cheeky" Rosé 750ml

The lovely clear salmon pink colour leads you to a nose of strawberry nougat and rosehip jelly. Intense flavours of strawberry and redcurrant fill the mid palate. A bright acidity creates a lively, fresh palate with good length. A hint of creaminess and balanced sweetness rounds the edges, and some complexity from lees stirring adds a lively, textural mouthfeel. Made from our organically grown Merlot grapes, this wine is a more complex Rose’ and will compliment an Aussie BBQ, Asian foods, and a range of white meat and vegetarian dishes.

2015 Single Vineyard Shiraz 750ml

More upfront than the 2013, it displays blackcurrant, blueberry and black pepper aromas which combine elegantly with a toasty oak finish. Fine tannins and acid balance provide structure to the wine and carry it to a long and complex finish. It is unfined and unfiltered to retain maximum flavours and texture. It displays good cellaring potential.

This wine shows the individuality of the Boree Lane vineyard through careful handling and care of the hand-picked fruit in the winery to allow expression of the fruit qualities through minimum intervention.

Cinnamon spice and subtle new French oak are nicely integrated with fine, grainy tannins producing a wine of elegance and delicacy; a true representation of a cool climate, handmade Shiraz. The palate displays good length. A very food-friendly wine with excellent cellaring potential.

2019 Cabernet Franc 750ml

Released February 2021 after settling in the bottle, this is a partner 10 years later for our 2009 Cabernet Franc. Youthful vigour is evident in the lifted nose of soft red berries with hints of violets followed by a medium weight palate of bramble fruits nicely complimented with tannins from the French oak to produce a well balanced and lingering combination. This is the first red wine made from our organically grown grapes. It is showing the potential to age well like its 2009 predecessor.

A soft, inviting nose of mixed berries is followed by a minty, meaty palate accompanied by smoky oak tannins beautifully integrated. This wine with its component of Merlot grapes is a very approachable and drinkable wine, ideal for your BBQ, pizza, pasta and red meat dishes. This wine is now in short supply as it has been understandably popular.

Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) & Cab Franc (40%) & Merlot (10%)

This wine displays lovely aromas of black currants and dried fruits that combine with those of raspberries and chocolate. An underlying savouriness adds complexity. Possessing a long palate and an elegant structure, this lighter-bodied wine is a great food companion and has the potential to age well.

2016 “Two Blocks” Cabernet Sauvignon

Alc/Vol: 14% Blend of 1984 Block (50%) and 1997 Block (50%)

With a deep red colour, this wine displays flavours of blackcurrant, chocolate and salted caramel. Soft and rich in the mouth, it finishes with velvety tannins some cherry notes from the maturing in French oak. It is a complex wine with good aging potential. Very approachable to drink and very food friendly.

The fruit and tannin mix revealed on the nose leads to flavours of cassis and blackberry with hints of violets which combine with the French oak to produce a well structured palate. With its varietal linear tannins it is an excellent example of a cool climate Cabernet and is showing its potential to age well. Decanting recommended.

Food: A wide range of red meat dishes.

This wine is riper than the 2008, showing youthful tannins and acidity in comparison. Violets and lifted red berries are evident on the nose.It is an interesting comparison to the 2008 with good structure and aging potential and will compliment a range of meat dishes from pastas to roasts. A real chance to taste the benefits of an aged red wide and to add to your cellar.

Aging well, this wine is displaying good structure with bramble fruits and blackcurrants on the palate.
