Boree Lane Wines was proud to provide wine for Rowing NSW Fundraising Dinner held at the Four Seasons Hotel on George Street Sydney, with 360 people in attendance.
The wonderful young rowers bound for the 2016 World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam were presented to the audience. Carmel and I were there to support Chris and Sarah Meredith’s daughter, Rowena, who has been selected to row in the Under 23 Women’s Quad Scull.
Another motivation was the connection with the distinguished contribution to Rowing made by Carmel’s father, Ossie Rosevear. He was the main race starter for the GPS Regatta on the Nepean River for 35 years, attended the 1956 Olympic Games as an official in the Australia team and officiated on the Board of Sydney Rowing Club for many years.
Boree Lane wine may also have contributed to a strong showing by bidders in the auction! At the end of formalities images of Boree Lane, taken by talented photographer Chris, were projected on the screen.
All in all, it was a very successful event.
