Taste Orange at Barangaroo, 26 November – Recap

Boree Lane Wines joined other Orange Region wine and food producers at the Stargazers Lawn atop Barangaroo on Sunday, 26 November for Taste Orange at Barangaroo. The view was superb and the weather was fine with a steady breeze that kept the temperature from getting too hot.

An interesting flow of people ensured it was an enjoyable experience. Lots of really good responses to our wines with the ‘Cheeky’ Rose’, the aromatic Trifecta and the Chardonnay being most popular. Red wine drinkers loved the red line up with the aged 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2009 Cabernet Franc meeting with universal approval!

The feedback on the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc /Merlot blend confirmed how well it is maturing. And our ‘Luscious’ Fortified Sauvignon Blanc met with enthusiastic responses from its samplers – quite a few of whom turned into purchasers.

As ever, the packing up after a busy day is the worst part, trolleying wine and stall paraphernalia across to the lifts and down into the car park. But it was a good day overall and thanks to Brand Orange and all the organisers for all their hard work.
